5th Annual Jeff Hadley Day
ALS Benefit Golf Tournament
Rescheduled Date - October 13, 2009

Dear Pros and Friends of Jeff,

Let’s try it again!  As you know, this past May, the 5th Annual Jeff Hadley Day Pro Am was rained out.  As you also now know, that was the beginning of the “Summer that Wasn’t;” rain, rain and more rain.  Well, we are due for a great Indian Summer and a great 5.5th Annual Jeff’s Day II.

Jeff’s Day II will be played October 13, 2009 at Green Mountain National Golf Course in Killington, VT.  Registration begins at 11:30am.  The shot-gun start is at 1pm with dinner, small silent auction and awards ceremony to follow.  Thanks to you, the format remains the same:  A 5-person scramble with 1 professional on each team.

All the hard work is already done.  Between registration fees, auction bids and sign sponsorships so generously donated in May, an incredible $30.000 has already been raised for ALS research.  Now it’s time to play some golf!

To those who committed to the rained-out May tournament date, we hope you can make it in October.  To those who were unable to play in May, we hope the end of the golf season fits your schedule better and you can make it, too.

As always, proceeds will be donated to the ALS Therapy Development Institute (www.als.net) through the Jeff Hadley Family Fund.   ALS TDI is on the cutting edge of ALS research, especially into the genetic form of the disease passed from generation to generation.  Jeff’s family has suffered this type of ALS for over 250 years.

The good news, announced at the event in May, is that Jeff’s three siblings have tested negative for the disease!  This means no one in Jeff’s branch of the Hadley family will ever die of genetic ALS again.  The bad news is his cousins, their children and children’s children, continue to live and die every day with this paralyzing disease.

Jeff would not want us to stop trying to save his family or the millions of others who benefit from your generosity.  Please join us October 13 to celebrate Jeff’s life and keep his dream of curing ALS alive.

Thank you for caring.
